Rachel D. Myers, Esq. is a fifth-generation resident of Volusia County and a proud graduate of DeLand High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and her Juris Doctorate degree form Liberty University School of Law where she received the Meritorious Service Award for Community Service.
A member of the Florida Bar since 2011, Rachel began her legal career as a prosecutor in the Office of the State Attorney, 7th Judicial Circuit. As a trial lawyer, she prosecuted hundreds of cases including domestic violence, DUI, drug charges, conspiracy, armed burglary and sexual abuse offenses. After four years of successful trial work, she joined the law firm of Landis Graham French, P.A., where she became a civil litigator; practicing Family Law, Contract Disputes, Property Law and Personal Injury.
With her extensive trial experience and civil litigation background, Rachel has the tenacity and skills it takes to effectively represent her clients.
Rachel strives to work hard and well with members of the local legal profession and as such takes her involvement in professional organizations very seriously. Today Rachel is the President- Elect of the Volusia County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, the Immediate Past President of the Volusia Flagler Association for Women Lawyers and a fellow of the Dunn-Blount Inn of Court. Recently Rachel completed her appointment by The Florida Bar to serve on the Leadership Academy Committee and served on the Daytona Beach Domestic Violence Advisory Committee.
Community Service will always be at the heart of to what Rachel comments her time. Rachel is a graduate of the Leadership West Volusia, has served on the Board of Directors for the DeLand Family YMCA and is a Past President of The Junior Service League of DeLand. She volunteers as a Teen Court Judge and is a member in her local chapter of the Business Networking Institute.
As a person with low vision herself Rachel is dedicated to the Blind and Visually Impaired community. In 2016, the Florida Division of Blind Services awarded Rachel the Exceptional Client Achievement Award for service to their program. Rachel has been featured in the Division’s statewide initiative, “See Differently”. You can regularly find Rachel speaking on panels or as a keynote for programs hosted by the Division of Blind Services. Rachel is the founder and Executive Director of 4SITE, Inc., a nonprofit scholarship program serving local students with low vision who are “Seeking Independence Through Education”.

Danielle C. Edwards, Esquire is a native of Brooklyn, New York. Ms. Edwards moved to the Sunshine State to pursue her undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida on a merit-based scholarship. Ms. Edwards earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of South Florida, where she became a research fellow for the National Science Foundation, founded a debate organization focused on social issues currently impacting its members and the community, and started her law career as a paralegal for a foreclosure law firm. Ms. Edwards then attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. Ms. Edwards was very active in law school. She competed in multiple moot court and mock trials as a member of the Jessup Law Moot Court and Black Law Student Association. After earning a book award (#1 ranked student) in Mediation, Ms. Edwards became a teaching assistant in Mediation for the last year of law school.
A member of the Florida Bar since 2013, Ms. Edwards began her legal career in the General Counsel office of Publix Super Markets, Inc. as an In-House attorney focused on drafting and negotiating multi-million-dollar agreements for a variety of departments including Information Technology, Marketing, Corporate Purchasing, Manufacturing, Distribution, Risk Management and Human Resources. Additionally, Ms. Edwards drafted and rolled out corporate policies and procedures for the benefit of over 100 thousand employees.
In 2019, Ms. Edwards decided to pursue her true passion – advocating on behalf of others in criminal and family law matters. Since then she has joined the Law Office of Rachel D. Myers, P.A. as a partner, where she uses her background, research expertise, diverse legal experiences, negotiation prowess, mediation skills, risk analysis and legal training to effectively represent and advocate on behalf of her clients.
